Sharia Law at Harvard?

all happening at America's pre-eminent college.

Over the past few years, Harvard University has received millions in endowments from rich Saudi
and Emirate sheiks. Now it's returning the favor by Islamizing its campus and promoting the Shariah agenda of its new
Arab masters. Recently, the Ivy League school has made special accommodations for the religious needs of Muslim
students, including, and rescheduling of exams to observe Islamic holidays. And this weekend it hosted a $400-per-person
conference on Shariah finance led by officials from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The goal of the forum —
sponsored by Harvard's Islamic Finance Project — is to "integrate" Islamic finance into the mainstream
economy. That's a tough fit, because Islamic, or Shariah, finance forbids investment in major Western industries,
including those that derive substantial income from interest. Banking and insurance, as well as alcohol, tobacco
or pork -related industries, are not considered "halal," or allowable, under Islam. Entertainment is also unlawful. Shariah-compliant
investments are monitored by paid Shariah law advisers who must "purify" certain returns by donating them to Islamic
charities — including some that promote jihad and support suicide bombings. With $800 billion already in Shariah
assets — and $1 trillion to $2 trillion in Arab petrodollars annually looking for an investment home — the potential
for billions being siphoned off for terrorism is real. This, of course, would be a serious criminal violation of
U.S. law. Yet Western bankers, including many on Wall Street who are jumping into the Shariah finance market, don't know
this. One prominent Shariah adviser is Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi. He's a paid adviser to Arcapita (formerly Crescent
Capital), which happens to sponsor Harvard's Islamic Finance Project along with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank. Al-Qaradawi
is an Egyptian who has advocated suicide bombings and described Shariah finance as nothing less than "jihad with money." He
heads the Islamic American University and is a proposed trustee of the Islamic Society of Boston. The director of Harvard's
Islamic Finance Project, S. Nazim Ali, is active in both the university and the Islamic Society. Ali is neither an economist
nor a scholar. His background is in computers. Another paid Shariah adviser is Sheik Muhammad Usmani, a Pakistani
cleric who r an a madrassa that trained thousands of Taliban and who recently wrote a book supporting jihad and Islamic domination.
He, too, has links to Harvard, according to the Center for Security Policy, a vanguard against so-called Shariah creep. Roger
Ferguson, president-elect of the university's board of overseers, joined Swiss RE in August 2006. Two months later, Usmani
was named chairman of Swiss RE's Shariah advisory board. Until recently, Usmani was listed as chief adviser
to the Dow Jones Islamic Fund, which is run by the North American Islamic Trust, a recently named co-conspirator in a federal
terror-financing case. Usmani's name — along with the entire section covering the fund's "Shariah
supervisory board" — mysteriously disappeared from the Islamic Trust's Web site after we exposed the fund's
extremist ties in a Feb. 28 editorial ("The Risky Business of Islamic Finance"). Other key information on Shariah
also has been purged. In addition, the Islamic Trust renamed its Dow fund the "Iman Fund" and amended several paragraphs
in its prospectus. It appears Islamists are trying to use such Shariah-compliant financial products as tools to
get Islamic law through the back door into Western countries, including the U.S. They're enlisting our finest colleges
in the project. If Arab sheiks think they can buy American colleges and use our campuses to spread Wahhabism, Harvard

It's been hard to escape the news of the horrific atrocities coming out of Kenya. Just this past weekend,
children were torched, burnt alive in a Kenya church. In broad daylight, a crowd of Kenyans set a church filled with hundreds
of terrified families on fire and listened to their screams as flames engulfed them. More here
The violence is the worst Kenya has witnessed since a failed coup in 1982. The media has been, shall we say obtuse,
in describing the combatants, the murderers - what exactly is at play.
Dr. Jack Wheeler, To the Point News lays
it out for us and outlines a brilliant strategy for Obama, a Moslem in his youth with strong ties to Islam and
that region. Interesting that Obama should sidle up to the agitator aligned with Islam. Of
course, Wheeler's bold strategy is way over Obama Hussein's head. Don't expect any such "action"
from the actionless but the story behind the Kenya bloodbaths leads to of all places ................. Islam. Kenya's
Muslim population is roughly 10% - that historical tipping point where the Muslims traditionally assert themselves and their
Islamic law (sharia) on the poor, unsuspecting host country. OBAMA IN KENYA Dr. Jack Wheeler, Rational Oasis, TTP
Barrack Hussein Obama Junior will not win or lose the
Democrat Party's presidential nomination in Iowa or New Hampshire or elsewhere in the US. He'll win or lose
it in Kenya.
That he'll lose it there is the fear of his campaign advisors who wear green eye-shades.
That he'll win there is the hope of his campaign advisors who have both brains and cojones.
Last week in The 2008 Carpe Diem Filter, we noted that an ideal presidential candidate would be someone who knows how to carpe diem - who looks at problems
as opportunities, who would best be able to recognize and maximize the opportunity in a crisis.
Fate has just
given Obama such a make-or-break opportunity. Will he confidently use it, or will he wimp out, showing the world he's
not the hero of his believers' mythology, but the Obambi phony his detractors claim?
For it is the unique nexus
of bloody violence between tribes - Kikuyu and Luo - and religions - Christianity and Islam - unraveling Kenya right now that
gives Obama his opportunity. After all, his father, Barrack Hussein Obama Senior, was Luo and a Moslem. For background

Kenya's first truly free and fair democratic election
was in December 2002, won by Mwai Kibaki and a multi-ethnic coalition party NARC (National Rainbow Coalition).
One of the leaders of that coalition was Raila Odinga.
Kibaki didn't give him positions in
the new government that he felt were important enough, so Odinga formed an opposition party, ODM (Orange Democratic Movement,
orange the symbol color of opposition).
When Raila Odinga lost the presidential election last week (12/27) to Mwai
Kibaki, he claimed the vote was rigged, whereupon his tribal followers went on murderous rampages such as in the town of Eldoret,
where on New Years Day dozens of people were burned to death in a church set on fire.
Throughout Kenya, hundreds
of people have been politically murdered in the last few days.
Kenya's 37 million people are divided up into
over three dozen tribes and sub-tribes, but the two dominant ones are Kikuyu and Luo. Kenyan politics since independence
in 1963 has essentially been a duke-out between them.
The father of Kenyan independence and president until 1978
was Jomo Kenyatta, a Kikuyu. His main political opponent was Oginga Odinga, known as "OO,"
a Luo and Raila's father.
While Kenyatta was pro-West and sided with America in the Cold War, OO was
a Communist who was aided and supported by the Soviet Union.
That's why Raila went to school in East Germany
(born in 1945, he graduated from Magdeburg University in 1970), and named his first-born son after Fidel Castro.
Thus it likely won't shock you to learn that Raila has now made a deal for support from the Soviets' successors
as world-champion enemies of the West and democratic freedoms: Moslem fundamentalists.
The Evangelical Alliance of Kenya has posted on its website a photograph copy of a Memorandum of Understanding, dated and signed on August 29, 2007, between
Raila Odinga and Shiekh Abdullah Abdi, chairman of the National Muslim Leaders Forum of Kenya.
It pledges
the support of Kenyan Moslems for Raila's election. In return, as President of Kenya, Raila agrees to 14 actions,
listed a) through n) on page two. Read them all, and be sure you're sitting down. Here's a sample:
b) Within 6 months re-write the Constitution of Kenya to recognize Shariah as the only true law
sanctioned by the Holy Quran for Muslim declared regions. c) With immediate effect dismiss the Commissioner
of Police who has allowed himself to be used by heathens and Zionists to oppress the Kenyan Muslim community. g)
Within one year facilitate the establishment of a Shariah court in every Kenyan divisional headquarters. [Note: everywhere
in Kenya, not just in "Muslim declared regions."]
Again, read all of them, for
others are just as bad or worse. It may also not surprise you that Raila is not Moslem himself, but claims
to be a practicing Anglican. Only a minority of Luo are Moslem (most are Christian). Kenya on the whole is Christian,
with 80% of Kenyans either Protestant or Roman Catholic, while only 10% are Moslem.
And here is the biggest non-surprise:
Raila Odinga has, in his own words, a "close personal friendship" with Barrack Hussein Obama Junior.
When Obama went to Kenya in August of 2006, he was hosted by Raila and spoke in praise of him at rallies in Nairobi:
Obama's bias for his fellow Luo was so blatant that a Kenya government spokesman denounced Obama during his
visit as Raila's "stooge."

next year whether troop levels are cut further.
This is first time gates has made such a commitment. No word yet on how
many additional troops will be sent to Afghanistan.
It depends on US and NATO's continued success.

October 22, 2008 Welcome to Islamberg: the terrorists of Middle America? We have been hearing from the far-left for more than five years how, Bush lied. Somehow, that slogan
loses its credibility now that 550 metric tons of Saddam's yellowcake, used for nuclear weapon enrichment, has been discovered
and shipped to Canada for its new use as nuclear energy.
It appears that American troops found the 550 metric tons
of uranium in 2003 after invading Iraq. They had to sit on this information and the uranium itself, for fear of terrorists
attempting to steal it. It was guarded and kept safe by our military in a 23,000-acre site with large sand beams surrounding
the site.
This is vindication for the Bush administration, having been attacked mercilessly by the liberal media
and the far-left pundits on the blogosphere. Now that it is proven that President Bush did not lie about Saddam's nuclear
ambitions, one would think the
mainstream media would report the story. Once the AP released the story, the mainstream
media should have picked it up and broadcast it worldwide.
This never happened, due in large part I believe, to
the fact that the mainstream media would have to admit they were wrong about Bush's war motives all along. Thankfully,
the AP got it right when it said, The removal of 550 metric tons of yellowcake the seed material for higher-grade
nuclear enrichment was a significant step toward closing the books on Saddam's nuclear legacy.
Closing the
book on Saddam's nuclear legacy. Did Saddam have a nuclear legacy after all? I thought Bush lied. As it turns out, the
people who lied were Joe Wilson and his wife.
Valerie Plame engaged in a clear case of nepotism and convinced the
CIA to send her husband on a fact finding mission in February 2002, seeking to determine if Saddam Hussein attempted to buy
yellowcake from Niger. The CIA and British intelligence believed Saddam contacted Niger for that purpose but needed proof.
During his trip to Niger, Wilson actually interviewed the former prime minister of Niger, Ibrahim Assane Mayaki. Mayaki
told Wilson that in June of 1999, an Iraqi delegation expressed interest in "expanding commercial relations" for
the purposes of purchasing yellowcake.
Wilson chose to overlook Mayaki's remarks and reported to the CIA that
there was no evidence of Hussein wanting to purchase yellowcake from Niger.
However, with British intelligence
insisting the claim was true, President Bush used that same claim in his State of the Union address in January of 2003.
Outraged by Bush's insistence that the claim was true, Wilson wrote an op-ed in the New York Times in the summer
of 2003 slamming Bush.
Wilson did this in spite of the fact that Mayaki said Saddam did try to buy the yellowcake
from Niger. The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence disagreed with Wilson and supported Mayaki's claim. This meant
nothing to Wilson who
was opposed to the Iraq war and thus had ulterior motives in covering up the prime minister's
statements.
It was a simple tactic really. If the far-left and their friends in the media could prove Bush lied
about Hussein wanting to purchase
yellowcake from Niger, it would undermine President Bush's credibility and give
them more cause for asking what other lies he may have told.
Yet, the real lie came from Wilson, who interpreted
his own meaning from the prime minister's statements and concluded all by
himself that the claim of Saddam attempting
to purchase yellowcake was "unequivocally wrong." Curiously, the CIA sat on this information and did not inform
the CIA Director, who sided with Bush on the yellowcake claim. This was made public in a bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee
report in July 2004.
Valerie Plame also engaged in her own lie campaign by spreading the notion that the Bush administration
outed her as a CIA agent. Never mind that it was Richard Armitage -- no friend of the Bush administration -- who leaked Plame's
identity to the press. Never mind that Plame had not been in the field as a CIA agent in some six years.
The truth
is, due to their opposition to the war, Joe Wilson, Valerie Plame, the mainstream media and their left-wing friends on the
blogosphere engaged in a propaganda campaign to undermine the Bush administration. Now that Saddam's uranium has been
made public and is no longer a threat to the world, do you think these aforementioned parties will apologize and admit they
were wrong? Don't count on it. The rest of the American people should hear the truth about Saddam's uranium. It is
up to you and me to inform them every chance we get.
As far as the anti-war crowd is concerned, the next
time they say that, "Bush lied," we should tell them to, "Have the yellowcake and eat it too."

A U.S. airstrike that killed the suspected al-Qaida leader in Somalia brought warnings of vengeance from Islamic insurgents
Friday and the threat of a boycott that could jeopardize peace talks with the U.N.-supported government. The biggest
alliance supporting Somalia’s Islamic insurgency said it might pull out of planned May 10 talks on escalating fighting
and a humanitarian crisis that has caused thousands of civilian deaths and displaced hundreds of thousands over the past year. “The
U.S. strike can undermine the U.N.-sponsored peace parlay,” said Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed, exiled chairman of the Alliance
for Liberation and Reconstitution of Somalia. “We will reconsider taking part … due to the U.S. military
attack,” he said in a telephone interview from Cairo, Egypt. The participation of Ahmed’s alliance, which
includes both moderates and Islamic hard-liners inside Somalia and in exile, is seen as crucial to the success of talks scheduled
in neighboring Djibouti. In a pre-dawn attack Thursday, U.S. missiles destroyed the house of reputed al-Qaida leader
Aden Hashi Ayro in the central town of Dusamareeb. The attack killed 24 other people, five in the targeted house and the others
in nearby homes, said a town elder, Ilmi Hassan Arab. It was the first major success in a string of such U.S. military
attacks over the past year in this Horn of Africa nation, but analysts said it was more symbolic and unlikely to significantly
weaken the insurgency against the weak interim government.
